AUGUST - More than 40
members assembled in Great Baddow on a sunny autumnal morning to take
part in a walking treasure hunt devised by Pam Bangert and Maureen Laming.
Searching for clues whilst strolling around this pleasant village, though
presenting quite a challenge, was enjoyed by all who took part. The hunt,
which lasted approximately two hours, finished at the White Horse public house where members
relaxed over lunch in comfortable surroundings. After lunch the winners were
announced: Sheila Boar and Barbara Lemman were third, Bob and Annette
Dwyer-Joyce were runners-up, with Celia Clinker and Jean Francis emerging as the
winners.
