JUNE - A group of members undertook a trip to Amsterdam organised by Irene Briscoe. During their
five-day stay their courier, Terry, arranged visits to art galleries and museums
as well as several interesting towns and cities including Delft, Hague and
Bruges (here the Group had a trip on a canal). Accommodation was in an hotel set
in a large park which also featured a bird sanctuary, home to exotic species such
as flamingos and humming birds. All members enjoyed the trip and were fortunate
in having fine weather. Irene, convenor of the Brentwood U3A Sketching Group,
made sketches (below) of some of the places they visited. (Report: Brian
Leith, sketches Irene Briscoe)
