JANUARY - The year kicked off to a good start with just over 100 members attending the New Year's Annual Dinner at the Shenfield Parish Hall. In spite of a very cold and frosty evening all members who had booked turned out. The meal (menus below), was again provided by Mark and Lesley Jeans with a team of around eight helpers. It was a really good balanced meal with coffee or tea to end. After the meal entertainment was provided by "Sweet Harmony" and eight-piece mediaeval and renaissance vocal ensemble. The group sang a selection of traditional carols and songs and their harmonies and execution were excellent. Bob Dwyer-Joyce (Chairman), thanked the group and the members for their support as well as Mark and Lesley for their hard work. The evening ended around 10.30. (Report: Brian Leith.
