FEBRUARY - A completely different afternoon event at the Shenfield Parish Hall, was enjoyed by almost 90 members who declared it a total success. Advertised as a Retro Revue and Afternoon Tea, members were treated to a selection of songs and sketches spanning the centuries from Tudor times to the present day, performed by a touring music theatre group called "Time of our Lives." The professionalism of the quartet was unquestioned and everybody agreed that they had thoroughly enjoyed the performances. Tea, with a selection of sandwiches, rolls, scones, and pastries was served in the Gwendoline Room. The afternoon was organised by Annette Dwyer-Joyce who was assisted by one or two members in providing the delicacies. Unfortunately no photographs were taken. |
