JULY - The day dawned sunny and warm and we had a pleasant ride to Suffolk and the Froize Inn for our usual superb lunch. Diets were certainly left at home and a happy atmosphere prevailed. We then carried on to Southwold for an hour or so of free time before the theatre. Some of us partook of a little light refreshment before our encounter with Dick Barton, Special Agent. The cast was brilliant and the timing and overall effects were excellent. It took us back several decades to 6.45 pm when we were glued to the wireless for the next exciting episode of Dick ……..– such nostalgia! On the journey home we had a light supper prepared much, much earlier by Annette & Bob. Brian Staples thanked them, on our behalf, for organising a truly splendid day.
